Sunday School Classes
Eva Vaughan
The Eva Vaughan class is a group of women ages 60 and up, mostly retired, who enjoy studying scriptures while bringing life experiences to enhance these studies. They are involved in other church and community activities.
Fellowship
This is a Bible Study Class for Senior Adult Men (ages 65-up), usually retired, who continue to work especially as volunteers in the church and in the community. They use their life learned lessons and skills to enhance the Bible Study. Their curriculum is “Bible Studies for Life” by Lifeway.
The Upper Room
This class is a diverse group of mature adults who like to study the Bible and apply scripture to where they are in life today. They use Lifeway Bible Study materials and teaching the class is assigned to members who volunteer to lead for the day. They have a couple of social events during the year including a Christmas Luncheon that includes our senior adults. They also deliver homemade soup to shut-ins as part of their outreach.
The Renewal of the Spirit
This class points the believer toward the genuine inner transformation and spiritual renewal that God the Holy Spirit desires for every believer. Our spiritual capacity as “new creatures in Christ” is explored in its deepest sense. You will learn why the Spirit’s inner transformation is of primary importance and of greatest substance, and why external religious forms are seldom fulfilling in themselves.
Inquirers
This is a class with a wide age range of adults. It is a Bible-based study with discussion of God's Word in a warm and welcoming group of believers. This class is for anyone looking to dive directly into God's Word and be part of a group of believers constantly seeking to grow in their walk with Christ and to encourage others.
Wilderness
The Wilderness class (because they are wanderers like the Israelites) is a mixed group open to any age. They use Lifeway Bible study materials and the Bible as a basis for open discussions. They relate the material and scripture to the period when the Bible was written up to modern day applications.
Children's Classes
Our children's ministry offers two Sunday School classes for children. The first, which serves our 3 year old through kindergarten students, engages students with hands on learning opportunities. Our second, which serves 1st through 5th graders, utilizes the SuperBook curriculum to offer students both visual and hands on learning opportunities while having a ton of fun!
Youth
Our youth gather every Sunday to share in a breakfast (normally cake) and explore the Bible and to learn how to practically live in and live out their relationship with Christ by exploring the Bible, engaging in theology, and expanding their disciple-making toolkit.
